Sheila Lewandowski '97, longtime arts advocate and co-founder of The Chocolate Factory, an award-winning incubator for experimental performance in Queens, New York, has been awarded the 2016 Elizabeth Coleman Visionary Leadership Award at ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College.

¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College President Mariko Silver recently spoke at a meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations’ Higher Education Working Group on Global Issues at the CFR headquarters in New York. The working group is exploring the role of colleges and universities in a changing world and how institutions can better meet the challenges of globalization.

In a letter to the ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College community, President Mariko Silver announced the appointment of Paige Bartels, vice president of institutional advancement, to a new role as senior vice president for strategic partnerships.

Now in its second term, the Prison Education Initiative launched by ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College in 2015 will enroll 29 prisoners at the Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Comstock, New York, in classes this spring.
