The artist, curator, urbanist, and facilitator Theaster Gates was in residence at ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College in April, speaking to students, faculty, and staff about making place and making change, the two driving forces of his work. Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman spoke at ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø on the increased threats to freedom of the press, on her career as an independent journalist, and on her new bestselling book, Democracy Now!: Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America.

Black Spring, an exhibition organized by current students representing past, present, and future black lives at ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø, will be on view in Usdan Gallery until May 9.
