Mann '04 Wins Bing Jingle Contest
Jonathan Mann's lo-fi musical exploits landed him in the news again last month when he was named winner of Microsoft's first-ever "Bing Jingle Contest."
Mann was awarded $500 for the winning jingle, which Microsoft said was "both catchy and funny" while promoting its newly launched search engine, Bing.
Contestants wrote, produced, and uploaded their jingles to the , where the winner was determined based on ratings and number of views.
Mann's jingle, "Bing Goes the Internet," was also the 202nd consecutive song in his song-a-day project, which has drawn national media attention and can be followed on his .
