Course Description

Summary

In this seminar students will engage in discussions and conversations on the experience of creating music in today's world. Topics include the notion of "art for art's sake", changing economic and esthetic conditions approaching the music industry, and making sense of the growing use of AI. As part of this seminar, Sharp will share his own experience from decades of composing, performing, recording, and touring.
