Course Description

Summary

Entrepreneurship is not just about start-ups. It is a problem-solving frame of mind that requires technical expertise, a business sense, an ability to anticipate the future, and an appreciation of social context. In this course students are required to group in the first course. The teams will have business acumen, technology acumen and marketing acumen/product acumen. First and second weeks of the class we will have technology executives to come with 4-5 ideas. Each team will select one of the ideas to explore, build and execute a business idea as a startup entrepreneur. There will be biweekly meetings with company representatives to present the process.  

Prerequisites

Skills required: Advance computer skills, minimum of two internships, being able to code in python, java and javascript; web development skills. 
Business Acumen: Business planning; technical writing and powerpoint skills;
Marketing Acumen: Social media marketing
