Course Description

Summary

The Haggadah is the book that provides the outline for the Passover Seder. The Haggadah combines history, myth, ritual, theater, food, and other elements as it tells a story of and celebration of Freedom. While the earliest building blocks of the Haggadah are found in the Biblical text the Haggadah has evolved over millennia showing the influences of many different eras and needs. In more recent decades we have seen new Haggadot emerge: Feminist, Environmental, and Queer for example. In this module we will explore all of this, as well as the connection of Passover to the Eucharist and the Last Supper. Module dates: 3/20, 3/22, 3/27, 3/29, 4/3, 4/5
