Course Description
Summary
In this course, we will explore the idea and process of telling stories with light, and examine how the meaning and experience of a story may be changed by lighting choices, which influence our perception of time, space, mood, composition, focus and story content. Our source material will include illustrations, books, movies, and performing art pieces. We will use the Martha Hill Theater lighting system, and may also set up and utilize lighting equipment in other spaces to complete projects. Students will work individually and in groups on assignments.Corequisites
