Course Description

Summary

This course is about folding digital fabrication into an ongoing art-making practice. We will learn how to use basic 3D fabrication equipment to assist our work in the studio, and as a means to realize our ideas. Basic techniques involving 3D Modeling, laser-cutting, CNC milling, and 3D printing will be covered. The first half of the course will comprise of a series of fabrication exercises. The second half of the term will be dedicated to individual projects.
