Course Description

Summary

Forensic psychology is cool on TV, but what is the reality of the field? This course offers an introduction to the field of forensic psychology with an emphasis on the methods used by people in forensic mental health as well as the types of people one encounters in forensic settings. Topics will include: forensic assessment, prediction of criminal behavior, anti-social and other personality disorders, insanity pleas and criminal profiling. We will use these topics as a vehicle to become familiar with the methods of psychological assessment.
