Environmental Ethics

Course Description
Summary
What ethical responsibilities do individuals have towards the environment? What does environmental justice require of national and international institutions? This course examines the philosophical issues and arguments that underlie these questions. Our complex relationship to the environment, as nature, as resource, and as shared world, invites questions concerning our ethical obligations to others, to parts of the world itself, to non-human animals, and to future generations.Prerequisites
