Course Description

Summary

How do you design clothes for a world that that does not exist? In this class we will be doing that with a series of projects. Worlds may be extraterrestrial, riffs on human history in the manner of Game of Thrones, or purely an invention of the author. We will explore methodology to find inspiration in the worlds of art, science, costume history, and our own imaginations. Students will need to render their ideas – drawing and painting or the digital equivalents are important skills to bring to this advanced design class. One of the design projects we will work on in this class is the H G project being developed for a spring 2022 production by Drama at ¿ÐýÃŹÙÍø.
