Course System Home Terms Fall 2021 Building Regenerative and Resilient Communities

Course Description

Summary

This course will be an introduction into a new CAPA Initiative called Building Regenerative and Resilient Communities. In response to the pandemic, climate change, social justice inequity, and the problem of food insecurity, there is an opportunity to build our communities whether they are local, regional or global; to imagine the community that we want to live in. Through a complex systems analysis, we will examine through our conversations with guests, regenerative food and agriculture systems, water quality, biodiversity, new methods of sustainable finance, and the building of social capital through a social justice lens and creative practices. Students will be expected to create a project of their own that they could envision would help build their community.
