Course Description

Summary

Basic techniques will include the reading music in treble and /or alto cleft in basic keys. Hand position including left-hand sifting and fingering will be shown, and a rudimentary facility with the bow will be developed in order for students to participate in simple ensemble performances by the end of the term. Corequisites: must participate and perform at least twice in Music Workshop (Tu. 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm)

MIN2241 Beginning Violin/Viola or permission of instructor.
