Course Description

Summary

Early exploration of foreign languages and cultures is gaining increasing attention nationwide. This three-week module is intended to help students gain a basic understanding of foreign language teaching to young children.  Working with local language teachers and program administrators, students will have an opportunity to teach foreign languages in the elementary classroom. Students will explore theories and pedagogical techniques, develop lesson plans and units, and implement them in class. Students will create, share, and assess their peers’ learning units. Students interested in teaching at the Village School of North ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø are especially encouraged to register. This module, taught in English, is applicable to the teaching of all languages.
