Course Description

Summary

In this course we will develop a rigorous understanding of the real number system and the foundations of calculus with an emphasis on proof writing and mathematical communication. Topics covered will include: the structure of the real number line, convergence, continuity, limits, and differentiation. Additional topics such as power series, countability, integration, and metric spaces will be included as time permits.

Prerequisites

Calculus: Analysis of the Infinite (MAT4145.01) or permission of the instructor.
