Course Description

Summary

This course provides an introduction to the key concepts and debates that pertain to feminist philosophy, including the nature of sex, gender, and the body, essentialism, oppression, care ethics, and feminist theories of knowledge.  Students will learn what it is to approach these topics from a philosophical angle, while at the same time keeping an eye on the historical, anthropological, and political dimensions of these topics.
