Summary

***Time Change*** There are similarities in children and adolescents all over the world, whether they live in the United States and are in crisis as a result of domestic violence, poverty or drug abuse, or if they live in other countries around the world, where there is horrific violence or issues of economic or environmental sustainability. The Sababa Project: Youth in Crisis is a unique class composed of both ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College students and high school students from the Quantum Leap* Exhibit Program at the local high school. Sababa means cool in both Hebrew and Arabic, a word popularized by youth culture in a region of conflict. The ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College students in this class are both learners and mentors. Meeting together with the high school students, the class will look at adolescents around the world, examining how youth are at risk currently and/or in the future. There will be guest speakers from the faculty and community. A public viewing of the work will occur in the first week in December in the Knowledge Cafe, created at the Quantum Leap Exhibit Program. *Quantum Leap is an award-winning program that reconnects youth to their education, created in 1999 by ¿­ÐýÃŹÙÍø College faculty members Susan Sgorbati and Daniel Michaelson.
