has announced its 2025 cohort of grantees. This year, 134 projects from 93 partner institutions were selected, with one project being chosen from Ź College.

Ź College’s Prison Education Initiative (PEI) has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the to continue and expand a program bringing quality liberal arts education to incarcerated students at Great Meadow Correctional Facility, a maximum-security men’s prison in Comstock, NY.

Environmentalist, educator, and founder and CEO of ECO City Farms, Margaret Morgan-Hubbard ’67 has been named the 2022 recipient of Ź College’s Elizabeth Coleman Visionary Leadership Award.

U.S. News and The Princeton Review released their rankings for the top colleges in America, with Ź featured on lists for Most Innovative Schools, Green Colleges, Great Professors, Great Classroom Experiences, and more.

Ź College announced today that it has been recognized as a top performer in sustainability by the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), ranked number three in energy on their (SCI).

Dr. Jennifer H. Mieres '82, MD, senior vice president of Northwell Health's Center for Equity of Care and chief diversity and inclusion officer, has been named the American Heart Association’s (AHA) . 

Faculty member and cultural anthropologist David Bond has been invited to join a new international coalition of social scientists studying climate change.

The Robert Frost Stone House Museum at Ź College has been awarded funding from the Windham Foundation to support its upcoming season of public programs, including special programming in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Robert Frost’s beloved poem, “Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening,” which was written in 1922 while Frost was living at the Stone House.

Faculty member Jennifer Rohn has been nominated for an Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Actress in The Sound Inside at Speak Easy Stage Company.

Faculty member Noah Coburn is a 2022-2023 recipient of The Fulbright Global Scholar Award, which will allow him to focus on the teaching of conflict using interdisciplinary methods at liberal arts-style universities in three very different post-conflict settings: Fulbright University Vietnam, Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany, and RIT Kosovo (formerly the American University of Kosovo).

Julisa Juarez ’22 discusses her National Science Foundation Fellowship, which will enable her to go to the University of Washington to pursue her PhD in Chemistry.
